Facilities and activities:
If you can tear yourself away from our private beach - perfect for cocktails or sandcastles - we have bookable activities which include access to our indoor games room with a pool table, table tennis and table football, outdoor table tennis, badminton and croquet, and for a small charge, archery and disc golf.
In addition, dotted around our private 17 acre grounds, are a Petanque / boules pitch, skittle alley, childrens play area with swings, slide and a castle.
Of course you must take a wander around Brownsea Island itself: Owned by the National Trust and with a section run by the Dorset Wildlife Trust, explore the whole of the island at any time of the day or night. You’ll probably see an abundance of birds, Sika deer, colourful Peacock's and exclusive Red Squirrels. We have two bikes you can borrow before 10.00 or after 17.00 to follow a guided route which takes in a little of the Brownsea history and views.
Off the island, if you really can pull yourself away, there are plenty of local sights to see, including Bournemouth beach with it's miles of golden sands and Studland bay, where a great day's walk will take you to the beautiful spot of Old Harry's Rock, with its splendid views of the Jurassic Coast.
Many other local attractions are opening day by day so check the internet for the latest happenings nearby.
