Nestled in the beautiful Hampshire countryside, Leckford Abbas is the perfect place to relax and unwind and enjoy the beautiful surroundings. Whether visiting the breathtaking, world renowned water gardens, or simply walking our manicured gardens, you're sure to find inspiration every step of the way. The Water Gardens are free to visit and can be booked on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday through Partner Choice, and all other days of the week you are welcome to visit at any time. A code will be available from reception to let yourself in. Signs to help social distancing are in place to help ensure you can explore with freedom.
Social distancing requirements, due to Covid-19, has meant we are currently unable to accommodate day visitors to the Abbas at this time..
In the interest of hygiene and the comfort of all visitors, dogs are not allowed in the hotel. We do allow dogs in the garden, but they have to be kept on a lead at all times.
In line with current legislation all buildings and our terrace are non-smoking, a designated smoking area is provided in the garden.
On site/local activities
We have mountain bikes, ideal for local use, which are free of charge to residents. All bikes will be sanitised after use and before the next user. To assist us with this please report to reception when you return your bikes.
There is a tennis court and putting green in the grounds of the Abbas, along with a bowling green, all available free of charge. We would encourage guests to bring their own tennis equipment if possible. We do also have rackets which can be borrowed, and these will be sanitised between use. Putting equipment is available from reception and will be cleaned before being issued. Bowling balls can be cleaned with wipes available from reception, please just ask.
The Snooker Room
The Billiards table will be available to book, cues and balls will be sanitised in between guest use, and the room will be cleaned regularly throughout the day.
You may like to bring your own books, board games and playing cards, sorry we are unable to provide these currently.
Our Kitchen Garden
You are very welcome to stroll around our grounds and gardens. We ask that you please avoid touching or picking any produce from the kitchen garden or borders. Our Gardener, Mark, is always happy to answer any questions or talk about what is growing, so please just ask him when you see him.
