Within the Castle, rooms are en-suite or have a designated bathroom and many have sea views overlooking the harbour– something of a bonus when it comes to watching the fireworks in Bournemouth during the high season.
Inside the Castle there are two comfortable public rooms, a television room, dining room, bar and a bar lounge. Or you could while away the hours playing pool, table tennis and board games in the well-equipped games room.
There are also archives available that contain an interesting history of the Island and Castle. Or if you would prefer to look at Brownsea's history online, click here.
Next to the Castle is a fabulous Italian walled garden, where the lawn and flowers are meticulously tended. This, however, is just a fraction of the Castle's private grounds, which stretch over 17 acres and include a croquet lawn and children's play area alongside facilities for badminton, football, cricket and fishing. Archery and golf are also available for a small charge.
We cannot always guarantee the great British weather but come rain or shine, the delight of the Castle's own private beach has delighted Partners for generations. If you are feeling particularly inspired, you could build your own miniature version of Brownsea Castle!"
In August, the Partnership Sailing Club has Dinghy Week; this is your chance to sail with an experienced dinghy helm for a small charge.
