Laundry
Laundry facilities are available on-site and charged at a rate of £5 per wash and dry. An iron and ironing board are also available.
Wifi & phone reception
Please be aware that due to our island location, Wi-Fi is not currently available throughout the Castle. Wifi via the JLP Visitor network is available on the ground floor in the Morning Room, Music Room and Bar Lounge.
The service is provided for your enjoyment but you are responsible for safe and appropriate use and complying with all laws. If there is any loss of service please contact us at reception. There is a good 4G signal for all networks.
We are in a rural location and on occasion, our signal can be intermittent and not always guaranteed.
Private beach
Within the extensive grounds, you will find access to our very own private beach just a few metres from the Castle steps- the possibilities to relax and play are endless.
Italian Gardens
Brownsea Castle has been part of many historical events, with previous owners including King Henry VIII. It stands majestically within its own Italian gardens that never fail to impress.
Guests disembark onto the private family pier and emerge into another world. A knight in full armour greets guests as they enter the Castle, offering an early indicator of its historic past.
On-site activities
If you can tear yourself away from our private beach - perfect for cocktails or sandcastles - we have the following activities:

- Clue based treasure trail
- Self-guided history tour
- Table tennis and table football
- Croquet
- Disc golf*
- Bike hire (bookable during the spring and summer months)*

In addition, dotted around our private 17-acre grounds, are a Petanque/boules pitch, skittle alley, children's play area with swings, slide and a castle.
